Accenture Application Deadline: Dates by Program
Author: Taylor Warfield, Former Bain Manager and interviewer

The Accenture application deadline depends on which program you apply to, with US summer analyst roles closing in early October, MBA roles in early January, and UK graduate programmes publishing no deadline at all. Miss the window your track uses and you wait a full year, so this article covers every documented closing date and exactly when you should submit.

Key Takeaways
Accenture runs rolling recruiting rather than a single application window, so the real deadline is the moment your specific role fills, not the date printed on the posting.
- US undergraduate summer analyst postings closed October 8 in the most recent documented cycle and October 9 the cycle before
- A Canadian Strategy MBA internship posting carried a fixed deadline of January 3 at 12:00pm EDT, three months later than the undergraduate track
- Accenture UK states plainly that it publishes no deadlines and closes applications once it has enough
- You can hold only one live application at a time in the UK and India, so your first choice is usually your only choice
- Rejected UK early careers candidates must wait six months before applying to any other Accenture programme
- UK graduate start dates run September through August and are filled first come, first served, so applying early buys you a better start date as well as a better shot
What Is the Accenture Application Deadline?
Accenture does not publish a single global application deadline. It posts roles on a rolling basis, states a minimum open date on each listing, and closes each role once it has enough applications. US summer analyst postings have closed in early October, Canadian MBA roles in early January, and UK graduate programmes carry no published deadline at all.
That structure catches strong candidates off guard. Most students search for one date, write it on a calendar, and plan backwards from it. At Accenture there is no such date, and treating the posted one as a finish line is how good applicants get shut out.
In my experience at Bain, firms with published deadlines were far easier to plan around than firms without them. Accenture sits firmly in the second camp. The posted date tells you the earliest the role could close, not the latest.
What Are the Accenture Application Deadlines by Program?
Accenture's documented closing dates cluster in early October for US undergraduate summer analyst roles, early January for MBA roles, and late autumn for UK apprenticeships. The table below shows every date confirmed on an actual Accenture posting across recent recruiting cycles.

Every date above comes from a live Accenture job posting or an Accenture careers page, not from a recruiting rumor. Two patterns matter more than any individual date.
First, the US undergraduate window has landed within one day of itself across two consecutive cycles, on October 9 and then October 8. Second, the restricted track for students who already completed an Accenture early talent program closed on August 29, roughly six weeks ahead of everyone else. If you did the Innovation Challenge or the Student Leadership Program, your calendar is not the public calendar.
Why Does Accenture Post a Minimum Open Date Instead of a Deadline?
Accenture uses a minimum open date because it fills roles as applications arrive rather than reviewing one batch at the end. Every US early careers posting carries the same construction: the application window will remain open until at least a stated date, and if that date has passed while the role is still posted, applications are still being accepted. A separate line warns that the job may close before the stated closing date.
Read those two sentences together and the meaning is clear. The date is a floor, not a ceiling, and the posting itself tells you it might vanish first.
There are three practical consequences you should plan around.
- Offers go out before the date arrives: candidates who applied in week one are interviewing while later applicants are still filling in the form
- Office capacity fills unevenly: a track can stay open nationally while your target office has already committed its headcount
- The listing disappearing is the only real signal: once the posting is gone the role is closed, and there is no late submission route
The good news is that this cuts both ways. If the stated date has passed and you can still see the listing, you are genuinely allowed to apply, and Accenture says so in writing. Plenty of candidates talk themselves out of applying to a role that is still open.
When Should You Apply to Accenture?
Apply within the first two weeks of a posting going live. For US undergraduate summer analyst roles that means late August through mid September of the year before your internship, since postings have gone live in late summer and closed in early October. Waiting until the stated date is the single most common timing mistake I see.
Here is the sequence that works, built around the documented dates rather than a generic consulting recruiting timeline.
-
June and July: finish your resume and decide your track, because you will not have time once postings go live
-
Late July: set a job alert on the Accenture careers site and register interest on any regional early talent page
-
August: restricted early talent postings open first, so check weekly if you completed an Accenture program
-
Late August to mid September: general summer analyst postings go live, and this is your window
-
September and October: campus events run, and assessment invitations start reaching early applicants
- November through February: final round interviews run, with UK interviews beginning in November and continuing through spring
MBA candidates run a completely separate calendar. The Canadian Strategy MBA internship posting set its deadline at January 3 at 12:00pm EDT, and it asked for a resume plus three written responses of 200 words each instead of a cover letter. Budget a full weekend for those essays rather than treating the Accenture internship application as a fifteen minute form.
The one thing you cannot fix in September is a weak resume. If yours has not been through a serious edit, my resume review service gives you unlimited revisions with a 24 hour turnaround so it is ready before postings open.
What Is the Accenture Application Deadline in the UK?
Accenture UK publishes no application deadline for its graduate programmes. Its own posting language states that it does not post deadlines because it closes the window once it receives enough applications, and it advises applying promptly to avoid disappointment. The careers support hub repeats the point and notes that it is sometimes necessary to close applications earlier than anticipated.
That is unusually direct for a large employer, and you should take it literally. One recent Consulting Graduate Programme listing for Accenture London showed a closing date of October 27 on a third party job board, which is the practical close rather than a published Accenture deadline.
Start dates make the timing even more consequential. Accenture UK offers graduate start dates running from September through to August of the following year, filled first come, first served, and it says offers can carry a start date up to 12 to 18 months in advance. Deferrals are not offered except in exceptional circumstances.
Applying late does not just risk rejection. It risks an offer with a start date almost a year and a half out.
UK apprenticeships work differently again and do carry fixed dates. One Manchester technology degree apprenticeship posted in mid November closed on December 31 for a start the following September, paying £24,707 a year across a three year programme.
How Many Accenture Applications Can You Submit at Once?
One, in most markets. Accenture UK instructs candidates to apply to only one programme and one location at any one time, and states that a successful candidate will only be offered a role in the office they applied for. Accenture's India careers policy is stricter still: candidates there may hold only one active application at any time.
This single rule reshapes your whole strategy. You cannot hedge across Consulting, Strategy, and Technology the way you can at firms that allow parallel applications, so your track choice is effectively your entire Accenture bet.
The rejection policy raises the stakes further. If you are unsuccessful in the UK, you must wait six months before reapplying to the same or any other Accenture programme, including regional offices. One rushed application in October can cost you the entire recruiting season.
So decide your track before the portal opens, not while you are staring at the form. Read the Accenture Strategy and Consulting job descriptions side by side in August and commit to one.
The US picture is looser. Accenture's US careers site says each role requires a separate application and welcomes candidates to reapply or look for a role that fits better, without naming a waiting period.
What Happens After You Submit Your Application?
You get an automated confirmation, then a recruiter review, then an online assessment before any human interview. Accenture UK aims to respond within two to three weeks and warns this stretches during busy periods. In the US, Accenture says turnaround depends on the role and the business area and points you to your recruiter.
The UK assessment journey is documented in unusual detail on Accenture's own support hub. Every candidate who passes the application stage goes to the Discovery Portal, an untimed online assessment that Accenture expects to take 60 to 90 minutes and recommends completing in one sitting.
After that comes a task based interview with a recruiter, then an in person business strengths interview with a Manager or Managing Director lasting 50 to 60 minutes. Strategy, AI and Data, and Digital Engineering and Manufacturing programmes add a case study interview on top, which is where most rejections happen.
Software engineering applicants get an extra hurdle up front: a proctored online coding assessment of roughly one hour, with your submitted code used as discussion material in the final interview. US technical assessments follow a similar shape, completed in one sitting inside a stated window that is typically 72 hours, with most taking 30 to 90 minutes.
Because the case study interview sits at the end of the Strategy and Consulting funnel, that is where your prep time belongs. My case interview course takes you from beginner to top 10% candidate in about seven days, which fits neatly into the gap between your online assessment and your final round.
Practicing Accenture case interviews specifically matters here, because the cases lean heavily on technology transformation and operating model questions rather than the classic profitability drills.
What Should You Do If You Miss the Accenture Application Deadline?
Check whether the role is actually closed before you assume anything. If the posting is still visible on the Accenture careers site, you can apply, regardless of the stated date. If it is gone, you have four realistic moves.
Tip #1: Search the careers portal by job code, not by title
Accenture tags early careers roles with codes that identify the fiscal year, such as NAELFY26 and NAELFY27. Searching that code surfaces every open role in the cycle, including tracks and locations that never appeared in your original search.
Regional and delivery center roles often stay open weeks after the headline consulting track closes. These are real Accenture jobs with real conversion paths.
Tip #2: Get a referral before the next window opens
Accenture confirms it runs an employee referral program and tells candidates to reach out to current or former employees in their network. A referral does not reopen a closed posting, but it gets your name in front of a recruiter before the next cycle.
Start those conversations in spring rather than the week postings go live. An Accenture referral is worth considerably more in April than in September.
Tip #3: Target the off cycle and regional windows
Not every Accenture internship runs June to August. Postings exist for internships running January to June, and UK apprenticeship programmes for 2027 starts open for applications in March 2027 rather than the previous autumn.
Accenture's regional entities run separate calendars too, with India operating under its own local recruiting policy rather than the North American cycle.
Tip #4: Apply to the full time analyst track instead
If you are graduating soon and missed the internship window entirely, the full time entry level analyst programmes are a separate application with a separate calendar. Accenture also posts internal conversion roles restricted to its own former summer analysts, which tells you how much the firm prefers to hire from its intern class.
Missing an Accenture application deadline is recoverable, but only if you treat the next window as a hard commitment rather than a hopeful maybe. Set a job alert on the Accenture careers portal today, finalize your resume and track choice by midsummer, and submit inside the first two weeks the posting is live.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Accenture have a hard application deadline?
For most roles, no. US early careers postings state a minimum open date and note that applications are still accepted if the role remains posted past it. The exceptions are MBA roles and UK apprenticeships, which have carried fixed closing dates and times on past postings.
When do Accenture summer analyst applications open?
US summer analyst postings have gone live in late summer of the year before the internship, roughly nine to ten months ahead of a June start. Postings for candidates already inside an Accenture early talent program have opened and closed earlier than the general track.
Can you apply to Accenture after the deadline passes?
Yes, if the role is still visible on the careers site. Accenture posting language states that applications are still being accepted when the stated date has passed and the listing is live. Once the posting disappears, the role is closed and there is no late submission route.
How long does Accenture take to respond to an application?
Accenture UK tells candidates it aims to respond within two to three weeks, and longer during busy periods. In the US, Accenture says turnaround depends on the role and business area and points candidates to their recruiter. Silence inside the first month is normal during peak season.
What happens if you are rejected by Accenture?
Accenture UK requires unsuccessful early careers candidates to wait six months before reapplying to any Accenture programme, including regional offices. The US careers site takes a softer line and invites candidates to reapply or look for a better fitting role, with each role requiring a fresh application.
Is the Accenture MBA internship deadline different from the undergraduate deadline?
Yes, and the gap is about three months. Undergraduate summer analyst roles have closed in early October, while a Canadian Strategy MBA internship posting carried a fixed deadline of January 3 at 12:00pm EDT. MBA candidates who plan around the undergraduate calendar apply far earlier than they need to.
