Key Takeaways
Accenture Strategy pay is best read level by level, because the distance between a first-year Analyst and a Senior Manager is more than $160,000 in annual total compensation.
- Levels.fyi puts the median Accenture management consultant package at $151,200, with reported offers spanning $94,600 to $467,000
- Glassdoor pegs the average Accenture Strategy Consultant at $152,023 in total pay across 464 submissions as of June 2026
- Accenture's own posted ranges for strategy roles span $87,400 to $253,000 at the consultant band and $122,700 to $317,200 at the senior band
- Performance equity starts at career level 6, the Senior Manager band, not at Manager as most salary guides claim
- The Strategy premium over the rest of Accenture is real but smaller than advertised: same-source data puts it at 11% to 19%
What Is the Average Accenture Strategy Salary?
An Accenture Strategy consultant in the United States earns an average of $152,023 in total annual pay, according to Glassdoor data from June 2026 covering 464 salary submissions. Pay runs from $114,017 at the 25th percentile to $212,832 at the 75th percentile, with the top 10% of reported packages reaching about $278,202.
Levels.fyi lands in almost exactly the same place from a different direction. Its median total package for an Accenture management consultant in the United States is $151,200 as of August 21, 2026, with reported offers running from $94,600 at Analyst to $467,000 at the most senior band.
Two independent datasets agreeing within $850 is unusual in this niche. Treat roughly $151,000 to $152,000 as the honest midpoint for a mid-career Accenture Strategy professional and build from there.
One clarification matters before the numbers. Accenture Strategy is the pure strategy practice sitting inside Accenture's Strategy & Consulting business, and it is a small slice of a very large company. Accenture reported $69.67 billion in fiscal 2025 revenue and roughly 779,000 employees at fiscal year end, so any salary figure labeled simply "Accenture" blends strategy consultants with hundreds of thousands of technology and operations staff.
What Is the Accenture Strategy Salary at Each Career Level?
Accenture Strategy salary rises from a median of $92,003 at Analyst to $255,986 at Senior Manager on the management consultant track. The single largest jump comes between Senior Analyst and Consultant, where median total pay climbs 39% in one promotion.
Accenture uses a numbered career level system that counts down rather than up. A level 7 Manager outranks a level 9 Consultant, and level 1 sits at the very top, which trips up almost every candidate the first time a recruiter mentions it. The named titles are the reliable anchor, and the full Accenture career path maps every rung.

Source: Levels.fyi Accenture management consultant data for the United States, last updated August 21, 2026. The Analyst, Senior Analyst, Consultant, and Senior Manager figures are medians. The Manager figure is a reported average of $179,128 base plus $8,180 bonus.
Analyst
The Analyst level is the undergraduate entry point, and the median reported package is $92,003. Analysts build models, run research, pull data, and carry a chunk of the project management load on an engagement.
The reported spread of $72,800 to $118,000 is wide for an entry-level job. Most of that spread is geography and practice mix rather than negotiation, since Accenture sets entry bands centrally and moves very little on them.
Senior Analyst
Senior Analyst is the smallest pay step on the whole ladder. Median total compensation rises to $98,286, a gain of roughly 7% over the Analyst median.
Candidates routinely misread this level as a real promotion. It is closer to a seniority marker inside the analyst band, and the money does not move meaningfully until the Consultant step.
Consultant
Consultant is where Accenture pay becomes competitive with the rest of the industry. Median total compensation is $136,540, and Glassdoor's Strategy-specific average for the same title sits higher at $152,023.
This is also the main entry point for MBA and master's hires, which is why the reported range is tight relative to the levels around it. Post-MBA candidates comparing offers should read this against the broader MBA consulting salary market before responding to a recruiter.
Manager
Accenture Managers own engagements end to end and report an average total package of $187,308. That splits into $179,128 of base salary and only $8,180 of bonus.
The bonus share here is the detail worth noticing. At 4% of base, the reported Manager bonus is far smaller than the 20% to 30% variable slice you would expect at a strategy firm, which means Accenture front-loads compensation into base salary at this level.
Senior Manager
Senior Manager is the first level where the package genuinely changes shape. Median total compensation is $255,986, built from $233,771 base, $17,500 bonus, and $4,714 in stock.
That stock line matters more than its size suggests. It is the first level where equity shows up in the reported data at all, which lines up exactly with Accenture's own stated equity threshold.
Managing Director
Levels.fyi does not publish a clean Managing Director median, because the sample is thin and the pay is dominated by equity grants that vary enormously. The highest reported Accenture management consultant package is $467,000, and the detailed picture on Accenture partner salary covers what happens above that line.
Be skeptical of any article quoting a precise Managing Director number. Accenture is a public company, so senior pay moves with the share price in a way that no crowdsourced average captures well.
What Is the Accenture Strategy Salary by Entry Path?
Your entry path sets your career level, and your career level sets your pay. An undergraduate hire enters at Analyst on a $92,003 median package, while an MBA hire enters two rungs higher at Consultant and picks up roughly $45,000 more from day one.

Source: Levels.fyi August 2026 medians for level pay, Glassdoor June 2026 for the Strategy Consultant title, and reported Accenture signing bonus ranges of $2,000 to $10,000 depending on level and degree.
Two details catch candidates out. Accenture signing bonuses are small by strategy consulting standards, and MBA hires enter at the Consultant title rather than the Senior Consultant label used in some published ladders, which changes what you should be benchmarking against.
The internship route is the cheapest way in. Summer offers arrive a full year before full-time recruiting closes, so the Accenture intern salary is worth understanding if you are still in school.
How Much More Does Accenture Strategy Pay Than Core Consulting?
Accenture Strategy pays roughly 11% to 19% above the Accenture average, not the 15% to 25% figure repeated across most salary guides. The cleanest way to see it is to compare Strategy against the whole firm inside a single dataset, which removes the methodology differences that distort cross-source comparisons.

A second read gets you to a similar place. Glassdoor's Strategy Consultant average of $152,023 sits about 11% above the $136,540 median Levels.fyi reports for the general Accenture Consultant band, which tracks the wider Accenture consulting salary picture closely.
Here is the honest caveat almost nobody states: Accenture does not publish a Strategy-specific pay band. Every premium figure you see, including mine, is inferred from crowdsourced data rather than confirmed by the firm, which is exactly why the published estimates range from 11% to 25%.
What the premium buys you is smaller than the prestige gap suggests. A Strategy offer still sits well below what a comparable candidate would see at a peer strategy shop like Oliver Wyman at the same stage.
How Much Does the Accenture Strategy Salary Vary by US City?
The New York premium at Accenture is far smaller than candidates expect. A New York Consultant reports a median package of $137,570 against a national median of $136,540, a difference of about 1%.

The city effect grows with seniority. New York adds only about $1,000 at Consultant but roughly $8,000 at Manager and $8,500 at Senior Manager, and the top of the New York range runs to $505,000 against $467,000 nationally.
Smaller markets move the number more than big ones do. The Philadelphia Manager median of $141,000 sits about 25% below the national figure, which is a far larger swing than anything New York offers on the upside.
The practical takeaway is that chasing a coastal office for the money rarely pays at junior levels. Cost of living in New York eats the 1% premium several times over, and Accenture's Strategy work is distributed across offices rather than concentrated in one.
What Salary Ranges Does Accenture Publish in Its Own Job Postings?
Accenture discloses annual salary ranges directly on its US job postings for states with pay transparency laws. These are the only Accenture pay figures that come from Accenture itself, and they are the strongest anchor you have going into a negotiation.
Three live strategy postings from 2026 show how the bands stack by seniority.

Read these bands carefully, because they are not offer predictions. A single posted range often covers two or three career levels and every US market at once, which is why a spread of $166,000 shows up on one job.
The useful signal is the floor and the shape. If a recruiter quotes you a number below the posted floor for a role you are interviewing for, something is wrong with the level you have been slotted into.
Why Do Accenture Strategy Salary Estimates Vary So Widely?
Published Accenture Strategy salary figures range from $76,530 to $195,000 for what looks like the same job. The spread comes from three things: whether a source reports base pay or total compensation, how broadly it defines the job title, and who bothers to submit data.

The worst offender is not on that table. One widely cited ZipRecruiter page reports an average of $76,530 for "Accenture Strategy," a figure that folds in every job at any company with the word strategy in the title, and it has nothing to do with consulting pay.
Having reviewed hundreds of real offer letters over the past decade, the pattern I see is consistent. Verified total-compensation sources cluster tightly around $151,000 to $152,000, and anything meaningfully below that is measuring base pay, a different job, or nothing at all.
What Is Included in an Accenture Strategy Compensation Package?
An Accenture Strategy package has four cash and equity components plus a benefits stack, and Accenture publishes the terms of most of it. Base salary carries the most weight at every level below Senior Manager, which is unusual for a strategy practice.
- Base salary: the largest component through Manager, where reported base makes up 96% of total pay
- Annual bonus: modest by strategy consulting standards, at roughly $8,180 for a Manager and $17,500 for a Senior Manager
- Performance equity: awarded to people at career level 6 and above, per Accenture's US benefits page
- Employee share purchase plan: buy Accenture shares at a 15% discount, contributing up to 10% of pay to a maximum of $7,500, open to level 5 and below
- 401(k) match: dollar for dollar on up to 6% of your contributions once you meet eligibility
- Paid time off: 13 to 27 days a year depending on level and tenure, plus standard holidays
- Parental leave: 16 weeks paid for birth parents and 8 weeks paid for other parents
The PTO band deserves a second look. A new Analyst starting near 13 days sits well below what most strategy firms offer, and the 27-day ceiling only arrives with real seniority and tenure.
Accenture also invests more than $1 billion a year in training and certifications. That is genuine value for a technology-leaning strategy career, though it is not money you can spend.
At What Level Does Accenture Equity Actually Start?
Accenture performance equity starts at career level 6, which is Senior Manager on the consulting track. Nearly every salary guide on this topic says equity begins at Manager, and that is wrong by one full level and several years of tenure.
Accenture states the rule plainly on its own benefits page: performance equity awards go to people at levels 6 and above. Because Accenture's career levels count down, that threshold sits one rung above the level 7 Manager band.
The crowdsourced data backs the rule exactly. Levels.fyi reports a stock grant of $0 in the average Accenture Manager package and $4,714 at Senior Manager, which is precisely the boundary Accenture describes.
This matters when you compare an Accenture offer against a peer firm. If you are evaluating a Manager-level offer and mentally adding an equity component, take it back out, because at level 7 you get the share purchase discount rather than a grant.
How Does Accenture Strategy Salary Compare to MBB and the Big 4?
Accenture Strategy trails McKinsey, BCG, and Bain by a wide margin at entry and post-MBA levels, then closes some of the gap at senior levels through equity. The difference is largest at the MBA entry point, where MBB base salary alone exceeds Accenture's median total package by more than $50,000.

Against the Big 4, Accenture Strategy holds up much better. It benchmarks close to the Big 4 strategy arms and sits at or slightly above core practices such as Deloitte consulting salary bands at most levels.
Among tier 2 strategy practices, the comparison is closest to Strategy& at the mid levels. What separates Accenture is the equity component, which no partnership can replicate and which becomes material only after you clear Senior Manager.
My advice to candidates weighing these offers has not changed in ten years. Do not choose on a $30,000 gap in year one, because the practice you join, the office you sit in, and the Accenture exit opportunities available to you will move your lifetime earnings far more than the starting number.
What Is the Accenture Strategy Salary Outside the United States?
Accenture pays in local bands, and the drop outside the United States is steep. A UK Consultant reports average total compensation of £80,100, roughly 40% below the dollar equivalent of the US Consultant median.

Glassdoor reads the London market a little lower. It puts the typical Accenture Strategy Consultant in London at £61,000, with a reported spread from £38,190 to £102,176 across 90 submissions.
India is a different market again. Aggregated data for Accenture Strategy & Consulting in India puts the average around ₹28.8 lakhs a year, with fresher packages closer to ₹14 lakhs, so US benchmarks are useless for an Indian offer.
How Fast Does Accenture Strategy Salary Grow With Each Promotion?
Accenture Strategy salary grows in two very small steps and three very large ones. The Analyst to Senior Analyst move adds about 7%, while every promotion from Consultant onward adds roughly 37% to 39% in median total compensation.

Timing matters as much as size. Accenture announces most promotions in the December cycle with a smaller mid-year cycle in June, so a promotion missed in December costs you six months of the raise rather than a few weeks.
Early levels typically take two to three years each, stretching to four or more at senior levels. Reaching Managing Director takes roughly 12 to 14 years for people who progress on schedule, and the realities of working at Accenture Strategy mean most people exit long before that.
How Do You Negotiate a Higher Accenture Strategy Offer?
The move that wins you the most money is arguing about your career level rather than your base salary, because Accenture bands pay tightly to level and moves very little within a band. Everything below follows from that.
None of this applies until you have the offer, and the Accenture Strategy interview runs full MBB-style cases rather than the shorter scenario questions used elsewhere in the firm. If you want to get case interviews down quickly, my case interview course walks you through proven strategies in as little as 7 days.
Tip #1: Anchor on the posted range, not the aggregator average
Bring Accenture's own disclosed band for the role into the conversation. A recruiter can argue with a crowdsourced average, but not with the range their own company published on the posting you applied to.
Tip #2: Ask which career level the offer maps to
Get the number. The difference between level 9 and level 7 is more than $50,000 in median total pay, which dwarfs anything you will win by haggling inside a single band.
Tip #3: Push on the signing bonus before the base
Base salary is the number Accenture guards most tightly, since it sets the baseline for every future raise and internal comparison. Signing bonuses are one-time costs and recruiters have far more discretion over them.
Tip #4: Get the bonus target in writing
Accenture's reported bonuses are small relative to peer firms, so a verbal promise of a large variable component should make you suspicious. Ask for the target percentage and the payout history for your level and practice.
Tip #5: Confirm whether equity is actually in your package
If you are joining below level 6, you are not receiving a performance equity grant. Candidates regularly overvalue Accenture offers by assuming stock they were never going to get, and that mistake is worth tens of thousands of dollars in a side-by-side comparison.
Having coached hundreds of candidates through consulting offers, the ones who do best are simply the ones who know what the level means before they open their mouths. Do the level homework, learn how to negotiate a consulting offer properly, and treat the Accenture Strategy salary bands in this guide as your floor rather than your target.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does an Accenture Strategy consultant make?
An Accenture Strategy Consultant in the United States earns an average of $152,023 in total annual pay, according to Glassdoor data from June 2026 based on 464 salary submissions. The typical range runs from $114,017 at the 25th percentile to $212,832 at the 75th percentile. The top 10% of reported packages reach roughly $278,202.
Is the Accenture Strategy salary higher than core Accenture Consulting?
Yes. Same-source comparisons put Accenture Strategy roughly 11% to 19% above the Accenture average. 6figr reports a $170,000 average base and $195,000 average total compensation for Accenture Strategy profiles as of June 2026, against $143,000 base and $172,000 total for Accenture overall. Accenture does not publish a Strategy-specific pay band, so the premium is inferred rather than official.
How much does an Accenture Strategy Manager make?
Levels.fyi reports an average total package of $187,308 for an Accenture Manager on the management consultant track, made up of $179,128 in base salary and $8,180 in bonus, with reported offers running from $151,000 to more than $216,000. Glassdoor puts the average Accenture Strategy Consulting Manager at $196,316 as of June 2026, though that figure rests on only 9 submissions.
Does Accenture Strategy pay as much as McKinsey, BCG, or Bain?
No. MBB undergraduate hires start at roughly $112,000 in base salary alone, while the median total package for an Accenture Analyst is $92,003 on Levels.fyi. The gap is widest at the post-MBA level, where MBB base pay sits at $190,000 to $192,000 against a $136,540 median total package for an Accenture Consultant. Accenture narrows the gap at senior levels through equity.
Does Accenture give stock to Strategy consultants?
Accenture states that performance equity awards go to people at career level 6 and above, which is the Senior Manager band on the consulting track. Everyone at level 5 and below can instead buy Accenture shares at a 15% discount through the employee share purchase plan, contributing up to 10% of pay to a maximum of $7,500.
What is the Accenture Strategy salary in the UK?
Levels.fyi UK data updated in January 2026 reports average total compensation of £48,900 at Analyst, £53,700 at Senior Analyst, £80,100 at Consultant, and £117,000 at Manager, with a UK median of £55,200. Glassdoor puts the typical London Strategy Consultant at £61,000, with a reported spread from £38,190 to £102,176 across 90 submissions.
