What Is BCG Singapore?
BCG Singapore is the Boston Consulting Group's Singapore office, opened in 1995 and home to roughly 170 consultants, experts, and business support staff. The office is one of BCG's most important hubs in Asia-Pacific and serves as a regional anchor for Southeast Asia work.
The client base spans top Singapore and Southeast Asian companies, government agencies, and multinational corporations. According to BCG's own materials, the Singapore office has played a key role in the development of Singapore's economy through structural client transformations.
BCG Singapore was named one of LinkedIn's Top 3 Companies in Singapore in 2025. That ranking signals strong growth, employee satisfaction, and steady demand for talent across the office.
The Singapore office sits within BCG's Southeast Asia (SEA) system, which also includes offices in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Manila, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. Many Singapore consultants travel across the region for client work.
Where Is the BCG Singapore Office Located?
The BCG Singapore office is at 79 Robinson Road, Level 27 CapitaSky, Singapore 068897. The location sits in the heart of the Central Business District at Raffles Place, with views overlooking Marina Bay and the Singapore River.
The Robinson Road address houses several BCG entities under one roof:

- BCG X Singapore (tech build, AI, and generative AI)
- BCG Platinion Singapore (technology architecture and IT)
- BCG Expand Singapore (financial services research)
The main office phone is +65 6429 2500. Tanjong Pagar and Raffles Place MRT stations are both within walking distance, making commute easy for staff coming from across the island.
Who Leads BCG Singapore?
BCG Singapore is led by a small group of Managing Directors and Senior Partners. As of 2026, the key leaders are:
- Jeffrey Chua, Chairman of BCG Singapore, Managing Director & Senior Partner
- Jason Moy, Head of BCG Singapore, Managing Director & Partner
- Peter Cho, Head of BCG X Singapore, Managing Director & Senior Partner
- Ernest Saudjana, Head of BCG Southeast Asia (based in Jakarta), Managing Director & Senior Partner
Knowing the leadership team is useful for networking. Senior leaders often post on LinkedIn, attend recruiting events, and conduct final round interviews.
The Singapore campus recruiting team is led by Cherylnn Tan, Campus Recruiting Team Lead. Recruiter outreach typically comes through the regional Southeast Asia talent acquisition function.
What Roles Does BCG Singapore Recruit For?
BCG Singapore recruits across four main career tracks: consulting, tech and digital, knowledge, and business support. The largest and most competitive track is consulting, which feeds the firm's project teams.
Consulting Careers
The standard BCG career levels in Singapore move from Associate to Consultant to Project Leader to Principal to Partner (Managing Director). Associates are undergraduates and non-MBA Master's students.
Consultants enter post-MBA or after relevant work experience. This is the most common entry point for international hires joining the Singapore office.
Tech and Digital Careers (BCG X and Platinion)
BCG X is BCG's tech build unit. Roles in Singapore include Data Scientist, Software Engineer, Designer, Product Manager, and Architect. BCG X projects focus on AI, generative AI, and large-scale digital transformation.
BCG Platinion focuses on technology architecture and IT strategy. Platinion consultants in Singapore work on enterprise architecture, cloud, cybersecurity, and large IT programs for regional clients.
Knowledge Careers
Knowledge roles support consulting teams with deep industry or functional expertise. Singapore Knowledge Analyst and Lead Knowledge Analyst roles cover practices like Financial Services, Energy, Health Care, and Consumer Goods.
Knowledge careers offer a less travel-heavy alternative to client-facing consulting. Pay is lower than consulting but hours tend to be more predictable.
Business Support Careers
Business support covers finance, HR, marketing, procurement, operations, and admin roles. These positions are full-time hires based in the Singapore office and form the backbone of office operations.
What Is the BCG Singapore Salary?
BCG Singapore salaries range from roughly SGD 73,500 for entry-level Associates to over SGD 411,000 for Principals, with Partners earning above SGD 500,000. What Schools Does BCG Singapore Recruit From?
BCG Singapore recruits heavily from National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), and Yale-NUS. These four institutions account for the majority of local school hires.
BCG also recruits from international target schools when candidates choose Singapore as one of their top two office preferences. Common feeder MBAs include INSEAD (Singapore campus), Wharton, Harvard, Stanford, MIT Sloan, Chicago Booth, Kellogg, Columbia, and LBS.
Undergraduate target schools outside Singapore commonly include Ivy League schools, Stanford, MIT, Oxford, Cambridge, and LSE. Non-target candidates can still get in, but typically need stronger applications, strong test performance, and a network referral.

Recent confirmed deadlines for the 2025 cycle were July 14, 2025 for Full Time Associate, September 4, 2025 for Summer Associate, and September 10, 2025 for Consultant (MBA, LBS). These BCG application deadline dates shift modestly each year, so always confirm current windows with your campus recruiter.
Apply early. BCG starts reviewing applications as soon as they come in, so submitting weeks before the deadline gives you a real edge over late submitters.
What Is the BCG Singapore Interview Process?
The BCG Singapore interview process has four main stages: application screening, the Casey online case assessment, first round interviews, and final round interviews. The full process typically takes 6 to 12 weeks from application to offer.
Stage 1: Application Screening
You submit your resume and cover letter through BCG's careers portal. Recruiters look for academic excellence (typically GPA 3.7+ or equivalent), demonstrated leadership, internship experience, and a clear interest in consulting.
Roughly 10% to 15% of applicants pass screening. Tailor your resume to highlight quantified impact, leadership, and analytical work.
Stage 2: Casey Online Case Assessment
If your application passes, you will be invited to complete the BCG online case (also called the Casey chatbot interview). The assessment is a 25 to 30 minute interactive case delivered by an AI chatbot named Casey, followed by a 1-minute video recommendation.
Casey asks 8 to 10 questions covering market sizing, financial calculations, data interpretation, and structured thinking. Aim to answer at least 70% of questions correctly.
Some candidates also receive a separate cognitive or numerical reasoning test depending on the office and role. Check with your recruiter on which exact assessment you will face.
Stage 3: First Round Interviews
The BCG first round interview consists of two 45-minute interviews. Each interview includes 10 to 15 minutes of fit questions and 25 to 30 minutes of a case interview. Interviewers are typically Consultants and Project Leaders.
Cases are candidate-led, meaning you drive the structure, decide what to analyze, and propose next steps. The interviewer provides background and data but does not walk you through a fixed path.
Stage 4: Final Round Interviews
The final round in Singapore typically consists of two to three 45-minute interviews with Principals, Partners, and Managing Directors. The format is the same as first round but expectations are higher.
Some candidates also receive a written case at the final round. Written cases give you 60 to 90 minutes to analyze a printed pack of data, then 15 to 20 minutes to present recommendations to the interviewer.
The full BCG case interview process at the final round, including the written case format, is closer to a junior consultant's daily work than the earlier rounds.
Case interviews carry the most weight in the BCG decision. If you want to learn case interviews quickly, my case interview course walks you through proven strategies in as little as 7 days.
What Does BCG Singapore Look for in Candidates?
BCG Singapore evaluates candidates against four core qualities: problem-solving ability, business judgment, communication, and personal impact. These are the same criteria used at BCG offices globally, but Singapore has a strong preference for candidates who can work across regional cultures.
The four core qualities:
- Problem-solving: Can you break down ambiguous problems with logical structure and quantitative rigor?
- Business judgment: Do your recommendations make commercial sense given client context?
- Communication: Can you explain complex ideas clearly to non-experts and senior clients?
- Personal impact: Do you have leadership experience, drive, and maturity to influence others?
Singapore-specific traits that help include regional language skills (Mandarin, Bahasa, Vietnamese, or Thai), Southeast Asia work experience, and comfort in multicultural teams. You do not need all of these, but each is a meaningful plus.
Does BCG Singapore Sponsor Work Visas?
Yes, BCG Singapore sponsors Employment Passes (EP) for qualified non-Singaporean candidates. Sponsorship typically begins after you receive an offer, and BCG works with immigration counsel to process the EP through Singapore's Ministry of Manpower.
Most international hires are sponsored without issue, but minimum salary thresholds for EP eligibility (currently SGD 5,000 per month for new applicants, higher for finance) apply. BCG consulting compensation comfortably exceeds these thresholds.
Permanent Residency (PR) is not sponsored by BCG, but most consultants become eligible to apply on their own after a few years working in Singapore.
What Programs Does BCG Singapore Offer for Aspiring Candidates?
BCG Singapore runs several programs designed to introduce students and early career professionals to consulting. Participating in one of these gives you direct exposure to BCG and improves your odds in formal recruiting.
Southeast Asia Emeralds Program
The Emeralds Program is a short multi-day immersion for top undergraduates and graduate students. Participants meet BCGers, learn about strategy consulting, and get hands-on exposure to the type of work BCG does.
Bridge to Consulting Southeast Asia
Bridge to Consulting SEA targets STEM and Humanities students plus early-career professionals. The program runs over multiple days and includes case workshops, networking, and a chance to fast-track into the formal recruiting pipeline.
OneDay@BCG
OneDay@BCG is a virtual experience where you simulate a day in the life of a BCG consultant. It is open to anyone with internet access and is a great low-commitment way to evaluate consulting fit before applying.
Global BCG Programs Relevant to Singapore Applicants
Other global programs Singapore applicants should consider include Bridge to BCG (for advanced degree candidates), BCG Unlock (for incoming MBAs), and BCG Empower (for diverse candidates). Many participants from these programs later join the Singapore office.
What Industries Does BCG Singapore Work In?
BCG Singapore has deep practices in Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Insurance, Technology, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods, Public Sector, and Principal Investors & Private Equity. Financial services and energy are particularly large given Singapore's role as the regional banking and commodities hub.
Recent BCG Singapore work includes Southeast Asia power market reform, regional credit market analysis, and major digital transformations for ASEAN financial institutions. Project teams often blend Singapore staff with consultants from across the SEA system.
Junior consultants typically rotate across industries for the first 1 to 2 years before specializing. Practice preferences are considered during staffing but not guaranteed for Associates and new Consultants.
What Are the Best Tips to Land a BCG Singapore Offer?
Tip #1: Apply Early
BCG starts reviewing applications as soon as they arrive. Submitting in the first two weeks of the application window gives you the best shot at an interview slot.
Tip #2: Get a Referral
A referral from a current BCG Singapore consultant moves your resume to the top of the pile. Use LinkedIn, alumni networks, and coffee chats to find one.
Tip #3: Practice Casey Specifically
The Casey format rewards speed, structured thinking, and quick math. Practice with timed simulations rather than only traditional live cases.
Tip #4: Master Live Case Interviews
Case interviews carry the most weight in the BCG decision. Practice with a partner at least 3 to 5 times per week in the month before interviews.
Tip #5: Prepare Strong Fit Stories
Prepare 5 to 7 detailed STAR stories covering leadership, conflict, impact, failure, and teamwork. Singapore interviewers ask deep follow-ups, so know each story cold.
Tip #6: Articulate a Sharp Why BCG, Why Singapore Answer
You will be asked why you chose BCG over McKinsey or Bain, and why Singapore over other regional offices. Have specific reasons ready, tied to BCG's culture and Singapore's role as a regional hub.
Tip #7: Attend BCG Events
Coffee chats, Emeralds, Bridge to Consulting, and OneDay@BCG all give recruiters visibility on you. Active candidates get more interview invites than passive applicants with similar resumes.
Tip #8: Use Southeast Asia Business Examples
When discussing business judgment, reference Southeast Asia companies and trends. This shows market knowledge and genuine interest in the region.
